Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel transformed the Oscar nominee’s strands into sexy Brigitte Bardot waves. Abergel sprayed the Wild star’s mane with John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full Blow-out Spray from the middle of the shaft to the ends to build a foundation for those bouncy waves. Next, he parted bangs and blow-dried the hair smooth with a medium round brush.

Abergel loosely curled Witherspoon’s hair with a 1″ iron and applied John Frieda’s Beach Blonde Seas Waves Sea Salt Spray. He then teased her crown area to create the height Bardot was known for in the 60s, and finished it off with John Frieda Frizz Ease KeraFlex Flexible Hold Hairspray and John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Touch-up Creme on the ends for texture.

“To have these three performances be recognized, and more importantly, have audience go see these movies — we just hit $31 million for Wild; obviously Gone Girl is off the charts in box office, it just shows you there’s a huge audience for films with complex female roles.”
