Gone girl is back on the red carpet!
Rosamund Pike looked regal as ever at Variety‘s Creative Impact Awards on Jan. 4, in Palm Springs, Calif. It was the British actress’ first red carpet event since giving birth to her second child, a baby boy with boyfriend Robie Uniacke on Tuesday, Dec. 2 — but no pressure!
Pike, 35, emphasized her shrinking waist in a knit top and a black and white pleated skirt by Proenza Schouler, which she paired with Brian Atwood sandals. She slicked her sassy bob into a sleek, low ponytail and sported minimal makeup.
Awarded for her breakthrough performance in last year’s hit thriller Gone Girl, where she portrayed obsessed wife Amy Dunne, she explained how it felt to be honored at the gala.
“The breakthrough award makes you feel like you have surprised people, or people have seen your work in a different light which is all you ever want to do as an actor,” Pike told Us Weekly.
The day before, the former Bond girl opted to show off her long legs at the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Jan. 3. The star dazzled on the red carpet in a mini trapeze dress by Alexander McQueen, which featured a bold pink floral pattern. She paired the look with the same Brian Atwood pumps.
