In 2012 celebrities like Jessica Alba, Rihanna, and Rashida Jones walked the red carpets in pretty silk pajama outfits, which while confusing at first, the trend eventually exploded (who doesn’t want to be comfortable and chic, after all?). Although the bedtime shirt and pants style has died out, it seems there is one supermodel ready to bring it back.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was spotted in a champagne silk slip dress from her Rosie for Autograph collection with Marks and Spencer at her Rosie for Autograph fragrance launch on Thursday, Jan. 29, in London. She even accessorized with a waist-cinching skinny belt to prove that sleepwear can be totally appropriate in more places than the bedroom.
The night before on Jan. 28, the model went for full-on retro glam in another silver slip dress with a side-slit. Foregoing the urge to wear cozy bedroom slippers, she added height to the look with strappy sandals in the same cool tone.
And if there was any doubt that Huntington-Whiteley is just wearing her lingerie for appearances, she was spotted outside the event on Jan. 28, braving the winter chill in the same sultry number with a white fur cape jacket.
