When top designer Rubin Singer invited Us inside his showroom, it was music to our ears. After all, he has created one-of-a-kind pieces for Beyoncé, Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift. Meet the man behind those looks and more in today’s Red Carpet Daily, presented by AT&T.
Singer, 37, who was born in Austria, has proved that his dresses work anywhere and everywhere. Swift wore his strapless jacquard cocktail dress to crash a fan’s wedding on June 5. And Hadid stunned in his black-and-white striped strapless top during a Jimmy Fallon appearance, where she chowed on a huge burger. But Singer is also responsible for show-making pieces, including Beyoncé’s Super Bowl 2013 costume: a leather jacket and skirt that revealed a leather-and-lace bodysuit underneath.
This season, Singer’s got a brighter outlook. His Resort 2017 is one of the most colorful collections of the year, Singer tells Us Weekly. “It just feels very fresh; it feels very feminine.” The series of intricate minidresses with geometric details and ball gowns that feature flattering draping go from baby pink to “the hottest hue,” he describes.
Keep watching Red Carpet Daily to see more of Singer’s intricate work, including which piece from his current collection he’d love to see Hadid wear.
