Scent of a man? That’s exactly what Sarah Jessica Parker had in mind for her newest fragrance, Stash SJP, a heady mix of grapefruit, ginger and patchouli that hits Ulta on Sunday, August 28.

“Can you smell, like, all the smoke?” Parker, 51, asked The Coveteur in reference to the perfume, which she noted on Instagram on Friday, August 26, was “years in the making.” “All the dark wood and body odor. It’s old and sexy, like a sweater from a guy who was on the Eurorail too long or something,” she told the site. “Do you know what I mean?”

“I knew that I wanted a teeny bit of cognac, a teeny bit of leather, a teeny bit of body odor. We started working on this back when Lovely came out and nobody was ready for it. They were like, ‘Genderless doesn’t work, there’s nothing like that on the market’ — and then I watched it happen,” she continued. “I really wanted it to smell personal, that it could be adaptable, which is a very hard thing for fragrance.”

But the Sex and the City alum wanted more than just the perfect feminine-meets-masculine scent. She also wanted Stash, which is an amber hue and stored in a simple, cylindrical bottle wrapped with a single black ribbon, to be inspirational.

“This fragrance is about taking risks and expressing a more knowing, confident and sophisticated version of yourself,” Parker said in a statement about her new perfume, her third scent. “I feel this new fragrance is a real rule breaker. It is unapologetically sexy. It’s addictive. And it is for everyone.”

Shop Stash SJP, which starts at $50 for a 30 milliliter bottle, on August 28 at Ulta stores and ulta.com.
