Shia LaBeouf Puzzles Everyone With His Long Rattail Braid: See Photos of His Funky New Hairstyle

Shia Labeouf debuted a new rattail braid hairstyle on Feb. 28, in Los Angeles and the look has everyone scratching their heads.

Oh, the hair adventures!

A day after Jared Leto kissed his glorious ombre locks goodbye (our hearts still weep for his retired Jesus-esque mane), Shia LaBeouf has picked up the torch in promoting alternative styling options for men. LaBeouf, 28, revealed a new hairstyle trend on Feb. 28, in Los Angeles — one we admit might take some time catching on — but totally deserves its place in Hollywood.

Cousin to the mullet that ruled the heads of men during the late 1980s and 1990s, the medium-sized rattail braid slinks down his back. The Fury actor’s new look, which is either the work of great extensions or a highly potent hair growth vitamin, also features an edgy under-cut.

The length is perfection — grazing the top of his shoulders, while drawing attention to his buff pecks. The new ‘do almost gives us Cary Fukunago vibes, the director who wooed everyone with his captivating man braid at the Emmys in 2014. LaBeouf is just doing his part to keep the long hairstyle movement alive.

Will this ever make up for the pain caused by Leto chopping his locks? No. Still, we thank LaBeouf for providing more hairstyle options, however good or bad.
