The squad is still going strong! Embracing her status as the ultimate fashion plate, Taylor Swift covers the November 2015 issue of Vogue Australia, rocking all kinds of pastel prettiness while gushing about her best friends, including Lorde (or as Swift calls her, "Ella").
"My friendship group is one of my favorite things about my life right now," the "Blank Space" singer, 25, tells the Aussie mag. "Our friends really have each others' back." The blonde beauty also notes, "It's the first time in my life that I've had anything strong like that in the friendship department."
As for how she's managed to befriend so many A-list ladies—many of whom, including Selena Gomez and Hailee Steinfeld, appeared in her blockbuster "Bad Blood" music video—Swift says she often makes the first move. "A lot of the time I'll reach out to people to tell them they're great and a friendship will come out of them," the former country sweetheart explains. "Ella and I — Lorde — we met on our own because her album came out and I sent her flowers and told her it was great, and now she's one of my best friends."
Swift, who models a plunging, blue Schiaparelli haute couture dress in the cover shot, also adds, "Friendship often comes from admiration and that feels like a natural way to be friends with someone because you've established you respect what the person does."
On Sunday, Oct. 11, the "Wildest Dreams" singer took to Instagram to share a sneak peek at the issue, and shouted out her favorite line on the cover: "New Romantic," a nod to the fashion of the season, which also happens to be the title of one of her bonus 1989 songs.
