Going for that style gold! With 100 days to go until the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Ralph Lauren just unveiled Team USA's classic Americana uniforms for the Olympic and Paralympic Closing Ceremony parade.
First seen on the Today show on Wednesday, April 27, the ensembles feature a mix of red, white and blue pony-emblazoned button-ups over striped tees, teamed with crisp white shorts. Striped belts and boat shoes featuring America's colors complete the styles for both men and women.
As seen in the photos above, Haley Anderson, a marathon swimmer, shows off the timeless ladies' look, while Jordan Burroughs, a wrestler, models the complementary men's look from behind. (The back of each shirt reads USA, naturally.)
Both Anderson, 24, and Burroughs, 27, appeared on Today in uniform alongside their fellow Polo model, swimmer Ryan Lochte. When asked how he was enjoying the threads, Lochte, 31, said, "I mean, just take a look! They're fantastic. I love it." The Today anchors labeled the ensembles "beach-chic," to which Burroughs quipped, "We need a yacht now!"
Fortunately, you don't have to be an Olympic hopeful to rock the look. As of April 27, the official USA Closing Ceremony Uniform will be available on ralphlauren.com. The complete Polo Ralph Lauren Team USA Collection will follow in select Ralph Lauren stores at the beginning of May.
