Even the most stylish celebs make an occasional fashion misstep. But one star recently admitted that she can’t seem to ever get it right, especially when it comes to Us Weekly’s Who Wore It Best? poll.
VOTE: Stars face off in Who Wore It Best?
"I always lose. It's sad. I try," Rutina Wesley told Us at the Alice + Olivia presentation on Monday. "[One time] I wore the wrong shoes. They were nude and had gold dots on them. It just didn't work out. They were the wrong cut, the wrong…it was just wrong!"
So which celeb did the 32-year-old True Blood actress lose out to in Us' WWIB poll?
"It was against January Jones and we had both worn this white [Alice + Olivia] dress. My grandmother said to me, 'Well I could have told you not to wear those shoes' and I was like, 'Thanks Grandma. Thanks.'"
But whether or not her family approves of every one of her red-carpet getups, Wesley has since learned from her June 2010 wardrobe upset.
"Ever since then I've been having good moments," she continued. "I liked going to the 2010 SAG Awards in my Moschino red gown. I had the big diamonds and my husband was looking good in his tux so I think that was a good moment for me. No more faux pas!"
