When it comes to the beauty look at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, we’ve come to count on bombshell waves and sexy no-makeup makeup. Often overlooked but no less important is the fact that the Angels always seem to have flawless glowing skin — and they go to great lengths to achieve their luminosity. As it happens there a two facial treatments responsible for the otherworldly complexions of the Angels and non-Angel lingerie-wears: Georgia Louise’s Angel Face Treatment and NYDG Integral Health & Wellness Model Glow Facial.

The former of the treatments was created by celebrity facialist Georgia Louise, who closed down her Upper East Side atelier in Manhattan to treat the models. The skin pro created a highly customized treatment experience that utilizes both performance skincare and an array of beauty tools to render the supermodels runway ready, including micro-current, radio frequency, and LED Light + Ions along with the GLOPulse to help active ingredients penetrate deeper for an immediate glow. The Angel Face treatment starts with a triple cleanse that uses Georgia Louise’s The Balm to melt away makeup and grime so that the skin is prepped for the Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Mask which smoothes and moisturizes the skin. Then, the Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum and Dr. Barbara Sturm Anti-Pollution Drops are used to rehydrate and repair the skin before the treatment moves into the bespoke segment.

Next, if the model needs lift and tightening, a micro-current tool is used. Or if they need to reduce inflammation and blemish control, an LED Light and Georgia Louise’s Stemcell Renewal Elixir are used in tandem to soothe irritation and any breakouts to reveal a healthy glow. This is then followed by the signature Georgia Louise lift and sculpt face massage, contouring the cheeks, bows and jawline to perfection. And for the final two steps the GLOPulse is used to help active ingredients from sheets masks penetrate the skin, and the Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Drops are applied for a final oomph of radiance.

Some of the supermodels, namely Hannah Walton, Devon Windsor, Josephine Skriver and Martha Hunt headed over to NYDG Integral Health & Wellness in advance of the show taping to receive the Model Glow Facial. The 45-minute treatment (which costs $950 and will soon be available to the public) uses double exfoliation and radio frequency to lift and tone the muscles in the face for a more defined and sculpted appearance. The facial also uses LED therapy to calm inflammation and boost collagen production. In the treatment room, microdremabrasion, Endymed, a face mask with combo LED and a jade roller are all used to rid the skin of dullness, boost radiance and rid the face of puffiness. Even better: the full treatment package also included cryotherapy and a session in an LED collagen bed.

Dr. Colbert, the founder of NYDG, developed the facial to ensure that immediate results included the increased blood flow, the appearance of tightened pores and beautiful luminosity and light reflectance from within the skin. Bonus: the face has been developed to be safe for sensitive types. And the add ons like cryotherapy and the infrared LED collagen bed? The former further reduces inflammation and oxidation in the body while increasing blood flow, while the latter is calming and has boosted antioxidant capabilities.

And there you have it, two ways to get your VS model glow on — even if you aren’t hitting the runway anytime soon.
