Selena Gomez Lands $10 Million Deal With Coach as a Brand Ambassador and Designer: Report

Making paper! Selena Gomez is out of treatment and already making big moves: According to Page Six, she’s landed a $10 million deal to become Coach’s new celebrity brand ambassador.

Reportedly, the “Hands to Myself” singer, 24, not only hopes to star in the campaigns, she wants to design her own line for the brand too.

The news comes on the heels of Coach’s latest fashion show on Thursday, December 8, in NYC — a final event in a whole year of fetes that celebrated the label’s 75th anniversary. Drew Barrymore, Dree Hemingway, Zoe Kravitz and Michael B. Jordan were just a few of the celebs who came out. Gomez, however, was not in attendance.

But that could have more to do with the fact that the Wizards of Waverly Place alum has been keeping an extremely low profile since exiting her Tennessee-based treatment facility. She recently spoke out about her time off, calling her 90 days off “rejuvenating.” “During that time I did not have my cellphone. It was the most refreshing, calming, rejuvenating feeling,” Gomez said during a Q&A with Thrive Global. “Now I rarely pick up my phone, and only limited people have access to me.”

Gomez first announced that she was taking a hiatus in a statement to Us Weekly in August: “I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.”
