When New York fashion week madness takes its toll on Zac Posen's skin, he and other designers turn to New York City-based celeb facialist Joanna Vargas for a complexion pick-me-up before their runway shows.
"Sleepless nights, poor diets, lots of coffee, and tons of stress make it hard for designers to feel good about taking their bow at the end of the show," Vargas tells Us Weekly. "So they come to me for a quick fix."
Posen and fellow designers Mara Hoffman and Pamela Love are set to indulge in the $400 Triple Crown Facial. The three-step, hourlong treatment drains puffiness and tightens the skin for an "I just slept for days" effect.
Designer Norma Kamali is also booked for the $150, 20-minute Time Machine treatment, featuring Vargas' LED light bed anti-aging treatment, which purports to boost collagen production and reduces inflammation.
Another skin-saving fix: The facialist, who also treats a-listers Emma Stone and Naomi Watts, advises designers to replace their afternoon coffee with green juice (think spinach, cucumber, and kale) for a boost of energy. "A green juice instantly hydrates the skin while encouraging lymphatic drainage so you are de-puffed and glowing," Vargas says.
