The celeb and blogger-loved Gucci Women's Black 10mm Princetown Velvet & Fur Mules have seen a 476 percent boost in growth. In fact, for every pair that came on Lyst this year, 180 people tried to buy them. ($850 [similar style], gucci.com)
Once the J.W.Anderson Women’s Piece Leather Shoulder Bag was spotted during New York Fashion Week, more than 750,000 people searched Lyst for the number, featuring a large gold ring detail on its flap. ($1690, j-w-anderson.com)
Blame the ‘90s resurgence for a 230 percent boost of choker sales (like the popular Asos Women's Black Satin Choker Necklace), hitting peak popularity in July. ($8, us.asos.com)

In August alone, Lyst saw a 78 percent increase of vintage-inspired tops — compared to a 48 percent lift in overall sales. Topshop Women’s White Nasa Distressed Tee by Tee and Cake was a go-to for many shoppers. ($40, us.topshop.com)
Bye bye, opaques! Lyst reports that fishnets — including the Commando Women’s Natural Very Fine Fishnet Hosiery — saw a 96 percent rise in sales since 2015. ($36, saksfifthavenue.com)
Taylor Swift, Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid, who all wore the Solid & Striped Women’s White The Anne-Marie Striped Swimsuit on the 4th of July, prompting a 365 percent increase in searches for swimwear brand. ($168, matchesfashion.com)
Thinking ahead! Searches for velvet were 89 percent higher than normal in August. And in November, velvet replaced lace as the most searched-for winter party dress material. The most popular product is Asos’ Women’s Red Velvet Kimono Plunge Mini Skater Dress ($37 on sale, no longer available)
“While stretchy skinny jeans are still number one in sales, the straight leg receives two times more searches,” Lyst reports. Levi’s Women’s Blue Icon Wedgie — a universally-flattering pair of bottoms — wins for most-viewed in its category this year. ($158, revolve.com)
No pants? No problem! “Lyst saw a 48 percent increase in sales of luxury hoodies in 2016,” the site says. Users searched for tops including Vetements’ Women’s Burgundy ‘may The Bridges’ Hoodie just to wear them without bottoms. ($1265, lyst.com)
Calvin Klein, Tommy Jeans, Reebok and Champion were among the brands that inspired a 64 percent increase in sales. Shoppers were particularly intrigued by pieces like the Calvin Klein Women’s Gray Modern Cotton Stretch Cotton-Blend Soft-Cup Bra. ($50, lyst.com)
It’s not just for Wednesdays! This year (one where Rose Quartz was the Pantone color of 2016, coincidentally), pink was the fifth most popular color on Lyst, with 810% more page views for pink products including Acne Women’s Pink Dwyn Mohair and Wool-Blend Turtleneck Sweater. ($320, mytheresa.com)
“After presidential nominee Hillary Clinton wore a white pantsuit to the Democratic National Convention, searches for ‘white’ pantsuits grew over 63 percent,” Lyst said. Pantsuits of all colors, like the Tahari Women’s Black One-Button Pinstripe Pantsuit, prompted a 460 percent increase in searches. ($75, no longer available)
