‘Tis the season! January Jones sat down with Stylish on Tuesday, December 11, at the Tamara Mellon opening party at Blue Ribbon Sushi at the Palisades Village. The 40-year-old actress, who often takes to Instagram to show off some of her makeup tips, gave Us the inside scoop of everything that goes into her beauty and style routine. Her Present Giving Motto

When it comes to getting and giving presents, Jones credits herself for picking out standout things. “I buy myself the best gifts. I'm really good at gift giving to myself,” she said. “Any time there's Valentine's Day, Christmas, a birthday, even my son's birthday, I buy myself jewelry,” she added. Her motto when it comes to hitting her favorite stores? “One for her, one for me! That's how I shop."

What She Wants This Holiday Season

While the actress knows what she wants for Christmas this year, she admitted she’s had a bit of trouble finding it. “I was gonna buy myself the Max Mara teddy bear coat, but it's sold out in my size, so I might have to do some deep dive into 'Don't you know who I am?'” she joked. “I might be doing a show in Toronto and It's gonna be cold. I need that thing.” If she can’t get her hands on the jacket, Jones said she’ll take a trip to one of her go-to shops and pick out something special. “There’s a place in New York called FD Gallery and they find the most amazing vintage jewelry pieces and last year I got myself a vintage Van Cleef zodiac charm that I love. It's my son's sign, so maybe I'll find myself something like that.”

The Best Gifts She’s Received

Jones has no trouble holding back when telling friends and boyfriends which presents she wants either. “The first pair of shoes I splurged on were Sergio Rossi, but I made my boyfriend buy me them for Christmas,” she dished. “I also had someone give me the only autograph I've ever wanted, which was Robert Stack who hosted Unsolved Mysteries back in the day and it was signed, To January,” for my birthday. It was a headshot of him in a doorway with the smoke and a trench coat. I think that would be one of my faves,” she revealed.

The Worst Gift She’s Ever Gotten

As for the worst present she remembers? “I had a boyfriend give me my dead dog's baby teeth made into a necklace, which was sweet in theory, but really morbid and I would never wear it... I still have them, but they're like his little baby teeth set in a chain and it was a little off,” she revealed. But Jones is no-stranger to giving loved ones unique gifts herself. “I found this really cool thing called an Enso heartbeat monitor that records a heartbeat. You put it in your hand and it records a heartbeat and I got it for both of my parents and you can record either your own heartbeat just to hold it for anxiety or you can record someone else's heartbeat like your kid's heartbeat. I got it for my mom and dad for both their parents who are older just to have that and I just thought it would be sweet.”

How She Likes to Relax (After a Long Day or Work or Shopping Around)

When Jones has time to chill out and take time for herself, taking baths is her go-to indulgence. “I take hot baths every day. I love sweat baths. Goop makes a really good detox bath and I've been using those a lot. I’ll also do pound of epsom salt and a pound of baking soda and you just sweat. It's great for muscles, skin, everything,” she told Stylish. And if she knows she has to be on her feet all day, the beauty has been using CBD cream to combat any pain. “I found this amazing CBD cream that you rub on your feet before you get in your shoes. It's amazing for muscle relaxation and it works, but of course taking your shoes off is the best remedy,” she added.
