Amber Portwood's first post-jail task? Get out of the jumpsuit and back to dressing like a young reality star. But in a new picture, the former Teen Mom star surprised fans with a fresh-faced makeover that sharply contrasted her pre-jail thick makeup and variety of piercings.

TMZ obtained the glam photo, that features Portwood's brunette locks cascading down past her shoulder in large curls.

The 23-year-old mom of daughter Leah, 4, was sentenced to five years in June 2012. Portwood opted to enter Indiana's Rockville Correctional Facility instead of a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program.

"In my situation, I felt like the program there were a lot of eyes on me, and it was very uncomfortable," she told ABC News. "I was very depressed, all alone, all bitter at everyone. I felt like that wasn't the life I wanted to live, I felt like I'd rather do my time and get it over with."

Portwood was released from jail in early November, just 16 months after she was admitted, for a combination of earned credit time for good behavior as well as completion of programming.
