Bethenny Frankel: Why I Wear Red Lipstick

Look through photos from any high-profile event, and you'll see several celebrities standing out in hot, red lipstick. Not only is the look a combination of classic and sexy, but to Bethenny Frankel, it symbolizes a lot more.

"I believe red is a color that comes with confidence," Frankel told Us Weekly at her Skinnygirl Daily Pledge event in NYC Monday. "In Asian cultures, red means good fortune and brings luck. The women tend to wear it at weddings. So, confidence, luck and courage -- I think that's what every woman needs!"

And there's no doubt that the Bethenny Ever After star exudes all three.

The married mom of one, 41, sold her spirits brand, Skinnygirl Cocktails, for a reported $120 million in March and has since launched two more spirits, Skinnygirl Cosmopolitan and Skinnygirl Sangria. In addition, she's expanded the Skinnygirl brand to include wellness supplements and skin-care products.
