She's had it! Chloë Grace Moretz sounded off on haters who were criticizing her shape.
The Kick-Ass star, 19, shut down body-shamers in a seven-tweet message, posted on Tuesday, June 28. "When will people hiding behind computer screens get tired of calling someone 'fat' or 'masculine,'" she began. "Does it make you feel good typing your hateful comments ? Does it fulfill you in some dark way?"
Moretz, who is currently dating Brooklyn Beckham, implored the bullies to imagine themselves in her shoes. "Sit back before you fire away commenting ignorant things and imagine the real HUMAN BEING you are commenting about," she explained. "He or she is a person, with feelings and thoughts and a life that you are affecting so negatively."
The 5th Wave actress called for a change in online prejudice. "I've spent my whole life in front of cameras going up with miscellaneous people judging and critiquing every little thing about myself," she wrote. "It's time we all stop hiding behind keyboards pretending we know even the smallest thing about the people we judge."
She ended her multi-tweet call-to-action with a nice message to fans: "That's all – have a nice taco Tuesday guys."
The Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star recently revealed that she's struggled with body issues in the past and even considered plastic surgery. "When I was 16, I wanted a boob job. I wanted the fat pad under my chin to be removed," she told Elle. "I wanted a butt reduction, or whatever."
However, Moretz's mother helped her realize that her issues with self-doubt could help others. "Because of that, I found a lot of power within my insecurities," she continued. "They're what make me who I am now. Yes, I have had hair extensions. Yes, the reason I have this body is because I work out seven times a week. Yes, I eat really clean — even though I don't always want to, and I definitely cheat. But you're not just born with this. Sometimes you have to fight for and work for things, and be happy with you you are at the same time. That's a really hard balance, but I want to show it to young women."
