Jennifer Aniston inspired legions of women to get "The Rachel" in the mid-90s, solidifying her status as a hair icon. Ironically, the Friends alum tells the July issue of Marie Claire she's jealous of another famous woman's tresses: Kate Middleton! "Does she do her hair herself?" Aniston, 44, asks. "She's got a hard job, being scrutinized like that. When I have a bad hair day, my hair just goes in a clip."
The actress once again disses the 'do she's most known for, telling the magazine, "'The Rachel' was horrible! I'd curse [hairstylist] Chris [McMillan] every time I had to blowdry. It took three brushes -- it was like doing surgery!"
In her everyday life, the star of We're the Millers prefers to keep her hair simple. "I'm a creature of habit," she explains. "I like a good, straight blowout. . . I love my hair most when we let it go raw and natural."
Aniston reveals that taming her tresses takes a lot of work. "I have naturally wavy, frizzy Greek hair, and over the years it's taken a beating from blow-dryers, flatirons, curlers, and extensions, which I think are the most damaging," she explains. "I couldn't get it to grow because it just kept breaking. Even when it was longer, it didn't look long because the ends were so thin. I ended up using clip-in pieces just to fill it out."
When Aniston and her Wanderlust costar Justin Theroux tie the knot, don't expect the once-wed actress to stray from her typical look. "For my wedding, I wouldn't do an updo, but I think a veil is always pretty," she tells Marie Claire. "I like loose and natural hair because it goes against the formality of the dress. Loose, like, 'I just got out of bed, maybe had a romp' hair."
