She’s officially part of the Rainbow Brigade!
Kelly Ripa took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 8, to reveal that she’s dyed her hair again! Yep, almost one month after debuting bright pink tresses, the usually blonde Live! With Kelly and Michael host has a new shade—a bold ocean blue.
Sharing a snap of her vibrant ‘do via the social media site, Ripa, 44, wrote, “Shady’s back, tell a friend……..,” tagging her colorist, Ryan Trygstad, who also shared two pics of the soap opera alum. He captioned the first one (a snap of the pair), “Why not stage #2,” punctuating the note with three blue hearts.
But the second photo implied that the mom of three isn’t done experimenting yet! “The healthiest hair in the world. What color is next???” the celeb hairstylist coyly wrote, finishing the post with a pink, purple, yellow, green, and black heart.
While Ripa is clearly enjoying being a hair color chameleon this summer, she dished on Live! that her husband, Mark Consuelos, is less enthusiastic. “We dyed it blue and it turned a lime green,” Ripa began, explaining that the whole process took close to four hours to complete. “[Then] Mark walks upstairs and he’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, you look like the Lucky Charms guy.'”
Luckily, not everyone in her house was so shocked. “My sons [Michael, 18, and Joaquin, 12] love it,” she said. “They think I look like a superhero.”
