To look good, you gotta smell good! According to Sofia Vergara, at least. The Modern Family actress, who just released her third fragrance, Tempting, never skips the perfume, day or night, summer or winter.
“I always wear it, every day,” Vergara, 44, revealed to Us Weekly on July 8. “For me, it’s part of getting dressed. If it’s a summer day I wear something lighter. If it’s for a date, I put even more on. I don’t feel completely done without it.”
And Vergara, who married Joe Manganiello in 2015, is obsessed with her newest addition to her vanity table. Tempting, which joins Sofia and Love, is bolder than her first two.
“I wanted something sexier. It should be more for dates and nighttime, or if I’m going to go to a business meeting,” she reflects. “It’s like when you wear a red lip because you’re going somewhere important. It’s supposed to make you feel like you’re ready for action!”
Tempting contains hints of vanilla (which men react very well to, Vergara ensures), sandalwood, musk, orchids and jasmine. “It needs all the different notes to be sexy,” she says. And while testing out combinations, she had an unlikely judge: a Modern Family costar.
“Eric Stonestreet has a great sense of smell. It’s superweird,” she tells Us. “He’ll smell me and say, ‘Oh you’re wearing so and so.’ He always knows who it is. So I would ask him a lot.”
When applying her signature scents, Vergara prefers an allover approach. “I spray it everywhere. I do it here, there,” gesturing at her neck, arms and décolletage, “On my clothes, in my hair, everywhere! It lasts all day, but I always reapply.”
