Angelina Jolie's Salt Trainer: "She Can Be Stubborn!"

Angelina Jolie is one of the biggest stars in the world -- but that doesn't mean her Salt stunt trainer didn't tease her.
"We often used to joke about making her suffer, especially when wearing a harness," Simon Crane tells Self magazine of working with Jolie on the new action thriller, out Friday. "She wouldn't show me the bruises from that!"

And tough Jolie, 35, did sustain a minor injury while making the flick.
"During her final fight Liev [Schrieber]...She had to dive through an opening door firing a gun...as she carried the sequence on, she rushed into a corner piece of a set and bumped her head," Crane recounts.
The fight sequence was delayed, and Jolie took "a precautionary trip to the hospital -- arguing against it all the way...she can be stubborn!"

Crane has worked with Jolie on numerous films and says the veteran action star does 99% of her own stunts, occasionally using a stunt double, Eunice. To prep for fight scenes as Evelyn Salt, "we got her learning a combination of Muay Thai and Krav Magha," for two-hour sessions three or four times a week, Crane explains.

He adds: "One of the important issues was to bring her body and mind up to a level of fitness that would enable her to take on same of the physical pressures of Salt.
Her Salt-y diet? "She has to have 70% carbohydrates and 30% protein diet with an anaerobic training regime as opposed to aerobic, so she can put muscle on without losing weight. Sticking to four or five meals a day routine as much as possible."
And plenty of restrictions for the mom of six: "No junk food, no empty calories, and alcohol only on weekends."

81I was really surprised and disturbed at how skinny and emaciated Angelina looked in this film. I thought it was a good movie--it was interesting and there is no doubt that her character kicked major A$$--but her appearance was a shock. She looked tired and old...my advice to Angelina is to gain like fifteen or twenty lbs...trust me, doll, you'll look a lot better.
This movie is a CRAP. Unrealistic S...t. She looks old and horrible. Her veiny and ugly arm...who called her "royalty" ? Are u kidding me? U can see "farmers" in all of her "pedigree"...

Angelina did a great job in this movie, and she is not a nut case. Another thing, Salt is a very good movie. To anyone who reads these posts, don't believe the Angelina haters on here who hate her and have no idea what constitutes a good move...it sure as heck is not ANY of Aniston's movies.

Salt movie bombed. My friend works at the theatre and he said some people asked for their money back.
Daytime shoes with a night time dress...looks aweful. The dress is too short for her underweight scrawny body. Cover it up...you look like a skeleton.

Her movie bombed big time! It played in 3600 theatres and only brough in $35M for a $130M+ budget flick. EPIC FAILURE!!!!

@chris, i agree. when jen bad-mouthed angie, brad stuck up for jen! on the eve of their divorce, he said that he loves jen, and while with angie, he's even admitted that he keeps in touch with jen! he only went for angie because he wanted a babymama. he is a cow and he has no shame, first he played both of them and then he tarnished both their images in the media. if he had loved angie sooo much, he wouldn't have let her take the fall for him. people need to stop acting like brad is such a great guy because he's not! he's a coward. both jen and angie should dump his ass
"Angie when she has been with Brad now longer than the years Jen was married to him."...........................not that i care too much for brad, jen and angie's love life, but brad and angie were together for five years while brad and jen were together for seven years and that was WITHOUT kids! don't you think that back then when the man had millions of women lusting after him, it would be weird for him to stay with jen even though she wouldn't give him kids(i assume) if she wasn't so great and he wasn't in love with her? think about that. and vince was the guy she started dating right after brad and they were together for a year, which is a record to some people! i personally don't care whether jen has a husband or kids or whatever, she is obviously one of those women that put their careers ahead of any man and i admire her bravery and high self-esteem for that

Jen Aniston cannot keep a man and has been with more men since Brad dumped her. Brad and Angie were made for each other and it is funny that people hate Angie when she has been with Brad now longer than the years Jen was married to him. Angie is prime steak and Jen if burger. Angie's beauty, intelligence and warm heartedness cannot be measured. Jen spend all her time trying to be a 20 year old. Well, my dear, there are some miracles even the salon cannot provide. You hater get over yourselves. NO woman takes a man who does not want to leave. Brad dumped Jen and went to Angie. Angie did not steal Brad.jen had a lot of chances with other men (a lot of other men), Jon Mayer (eww), Vince Vaughn, Gerald Butler, Bradley Cooper, model Paul Sch... Enough, why can't she KEEP a man Angie sexuality and movie style presence is great on the screen. Jen looks washout and really, she cannot play a young woman anymore so please stop trying. Salt is a totally wonderful movie.

There is a very very small number of actress' who can actually carry a movie on their own steam... and the top notch is definetley Mrs. Angelina Jolie-Pitt! She does not disappoint. Her character is believeable she doesn't just recycle the same character with a different name. You believe she is the character she portrays! Kudos to her!! I knew she wouldn't disappoint me. Just totally love her! She has come a long way from her young self searching young years and evolved into such a caring loving and beautiful woman!!! God above continue to bless Brangelina!!
