She could care less! Bethenny Frankel responded to her weight critics while appearing on the Meredith Vieira Show on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
Talk show host Vieira noted how the Real Housewives of New York City star was recently photographed in a bikini while on vacation with her boyfriend Michael “Mac” Cerussi III. “People were going, ‘Oh, she’s too thin,'” Vieira, 61, said.
“Yes, ‘I need to eat a burger,'” 44-year-old Frankel sniped. “I was sick over the holidays. I don’t know. Do I look bad? Do I look like I need to eat a burger?” The Skinnygirl founder went on to slam critics for remarking about her body.
“I feel like, who cares, they are always going to say something,” she mused. “I do have a brand called Skinnygirl, so I am going to get beaten up for it. It would be bad if I were overweight and had a brand called Skinnygirl, could you imagine?”
Frankel also discussed her recent return to RHONY, which prompted Vieira to call out the reality star for lying. “I just want to set this up properly,” Vieira said. “Last October, I welcomed you into my home because I love you. Very nicely, I asked if you would be returning to The Real Housewives of New York.”
At the time, Frankel told her pal: “I have no deal to go back on the Housewives.” (Us Weekly exclusively revealed last fall that the Bravo standout would be returning to the NYC franchise following a three-season hiatus. After denying her return to the show, Frankel eventually directly confirmed the news to Us in October. “Ironically, I’m never a Housewife when I’m a housewife!” she joked.)
As for what she had to say to Vieira on Tuesday? “Listen, bitch,” Frankel retorted, jokingly. “Did I say I have no deal to go back on Bravo, did I say that? I was not lying. No, this is the truth. I had no deal to go back on Bravo and you know, Meredith Vieira, with your own talk show, that if you don’t have a deal and it’s not signed, the deal can fall through at anytime.”
