Cry it out! The Biggest Loser's makeover episode on Thursday, Jan. 8, is sure to bring about some big feelings, and not just for the contestants. During the ep, the remaining competitors (including the two Comeback Canyon participants!) will undergo complete transformations before reuniting with their families for the first time in 15 weeks.
Us Weekly has an exclusive sneak peek at former NFL star Scott Mitchell's emotional reunion with his loved ones, set to air Thursday night on NBC. In the clip, the 46-year-old Mapleton, Utah, business owner reveals his slimmed-down new look, complete with a suave new suit chosen by Tim Gunn, to his stunned wife Wendy and two of his five kids, who break down in tears almost as soon as the doors open.
"I miss him so much," son Zach told the cameras. "I'm just so proud of him and what he's accomplished so far."
Mitchell, who played 12 seasons in the NFL for teams including the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens, started The Biggest Loser at 366 pounds. Motivated by his father's death of obesity-related causes earlier this year, he joined the show so he could be healthy for his children.
Four months later, the ex-athlete is 124 pounds lighter. "It's weird to put on clothes that can button!" Mitchell told Us of his new body.
Watch his emotional family reunion above, and tune in to NBC's The Biggest Loser at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8.
