Exclusive: Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston Are Engaged!
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston reveal exclusively in the new Us Weekly that they are getting married.
And, they tell Us Weekly, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been kept in the dark about their plans ... until now.
"We got engaged two weeks ago," Bristol, 19, tells Us Weekly. "It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents."

Bristol and Levi, 20 -- who famously called off their previous engagement two weeks after welcoming son Tripp in December 2008 -- tell Us Weekly they reconnected three months ago while working out a custody plan for their 18-month-old son.
"I really thought we were over," Levi tells Us Weekly. "So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking — and then we took Tripp for a walk."

Says Bristol, "When he left that night, we didn’t hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: 'I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again' ... I was in shock."
Now comes the hard part: Getting the blessing of Sarah Palin, who has made no secret of her feelings for Levi. He provoked her fury last fall when he claimed that she had called her infant son Trig (who has Down syndrome) "retarded." She fired back, telling reporters that anyone who posed for Playgirl would "say and do anything for even more attention." Later, during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, she dubbed him "Ricky Hollywood" and called his "aspiring porn" career "heartbreaking."
Says Bristol, "It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be. Hopefully she will jump on board."
The Palins released a statement on the Today show Wednesday morning: "Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives."

472Well, that was fast! I wonder how much Palin Inc. is paying Levi to just go away for good?
I cannot believe the kind of time that others spend on putting people down! I know first hand the work that goes into be a young/single parent (I was 19)and when you focus on your child, their needs and their future, you find that you become your own person and STOP doing what everyone else thinks is best, its only then do you really start learning and living! I have never bought a mag. until this story came out and after reading it, I know there are many things they need to work on, but time will tell how strong their dedication is to Tripp and each other. I personally pray that they blow the world out of the water and live happily guided by love and God's blessings. I hope truth in their lives becomes that one thing that holds them together and keeps them loving each other. No one is perfect, but the ability to change and do right, is a blessing we are all given. It's not our place to sit and tell others what to do, how stupid or bad they are for their decisions, we are here to teach and love one another...I just wish more people knew that loving is an action, not a feeling, that you CHOOSE love and if this world would stop looking for "something better" all the time and be willing to work at things, what a better world this could be! God bless anyone who is doing the best they can with what they have, fufill your purpose and just love who you are, God does, and frankly, thats the only person we have to answer to. I don't think either one of them knows what they want? Two weeks after she gave birth they split? It's not going to last, you two are young and foolish and have a lot of growing up to do.
Levi has not one ounce of integrety. Bristol is stupid. Sarah needs to lock her up in a room,nail the windows shut, until she's about 30. She is definately Sarahs weak link in the chain. What an embarrassment.
I am very proud of them both. They are willing to woke through their problems! I will be praying for this sweet little family! May God truly Bless them!
what a gorgeous baby! with two idiot parents!!! their previous coupling was fraught with a lot of drama, followed with ALL the drama of the split and let's not forget daddy in playgirl...methinks mama palin will not be digging this second pairing! i'm sure it's for big bucks and/or a t.v. show...!
I wonder how many people that have commented on their relationship is in a "perfect" relationship and has never argued or said things they wished they could take back? Remember the verse "those without sin cast the first stone" It may a be a rough road but I think they have the will power to make this work.
Was she not in a recent magazine stating that she is an "independent woman" and "everything I have I got on my own"? Girl, what ARE YOU DOING? You dont need this LOSER!
They are both in it for the furture money and publicity...I see a reality show in the making! My heart goes out to the furture growth of the baby, what a sad furture he has. I mean really look at all the publicity they are getting now!

lisa and lynn. I agree. I read this today and was amazed by how transparent this guy is. She is in lala land over him and he is a gold digging liar. Either that or the reporter left out a lot of other details and comments that would/could change my mind. I hope he is not as scummy as he sounds for her sake.
This is pathetic. She is proving to be as immature as he is. God Bless that baby, his parents are beyond stupid.
I am praying for them and hope they make it. After a series of blunders, they are trying to do the right thing. They need support, not criticism. They are still very young and unfortunately in the spotlight through no fault of their own.
As far as I am concerned, i couldn't care any less that they are engaged and I hope we don't have to see this on every mag and tab. there are SO many more things of interest..who cares about these 2 kids from Alaska; this IS all a part of the promotion of Sarah for Prez, the 2 kids were probably paid a wad of cash to do this, and promote a "Healthy" family for her bid..PLEASE give us a break, and don't shove this facade down our throats each day!!

EVERYONE STOP HATING ON BRISTOL AND LEVI! they knew they were meant for eachother. people go through ups and downs all the time. let them make there own decisions for themselves and their son. he is an adorable baby. im sure it is better for him to have both of them together. stop hating!!!!!!!!
Wow...I can't believe that Bristol is even reconsidering this guy. Let's face it, Levi is a fame w#re and can see that Bristol's fam may bein the spotlight for a few more years and wants to cash in. I felt bad for her when he left before. But if he dupes her again, shame on her...too bad there is a kid involved. She needs to run far away from this guy.
