A picture’s worth a thousand words — or in this case, 53,000 comments. Kylie Jenner caused quite a stir among her Instagram followers on Saturday, May 16, when she shared a photo of herself in a racy swimsuit.
In the pic, the 17-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star models a plunging black one-piece and what appears to be a pair of thigh-high lace-up dominatrix-style boots. Around her, a team of stylists tend to her hair and makeup.
The snapshot itself wasn’t what initially caused the commenting frenzy, though. As noted by E!, Jenner originally captioned the photo, “behind the scenes. (yes I gained weight there I said it so u don’t have too) :)”
She later changed the caption to read simply, “behind the scenes” — but by then, people had already picked up on her weight comment. Some accused her of using Photoshop to make her thighs look bigger, claiming she needed to amp up her curves to keep boyfriend Tyga‘s attention.
Others speculated about whether she’d had plastic surgery. But many came to her defense, saying she’s gorgeous at any size and commenting that she “keeps it real” and “looks amazing.”
