Keeping it “real”! Melissa Gorga got candid with her 744,000 Instagram followers on Monday, May 11, when she revealed that she was going under the knife — again — to have her breast implants replaced.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 36, shared a photo of herself before the procedure early Monday morning. In it, she flashes two thumbs-up at the camera while wearing a patient gown and posing with her plastic surgeon.
“Wish me luck!” the married mother of three captioned the pic. “Following the Dr’s orders… After 13 years they say it’s always best to switch out your breast implants 🙂 so here we go… I know I’m in good hands with @drfiorillo #gummybears”
Gorga has not talked much about plastic surgery, but based on her caption, it appears she had a breast augmentation when she was in her early 20s, a few years before she had her first child, Antonia, 9, with husband Joe Gorga. (The couple are also parents to son Gino, 7, and Joey, 5.)
In any case, she’s certainly not the only Housewife to have had work done. Gorga’s sister-in-law and RHONJ costar Teresa Giudice — currently serving a 15-month sentence in prison on charges of fraud — also had a boob job when she was younger.
“I was an A-cup, and I liked them,” she told Steppin’ Out magazine in 2010. “They were perky. I didn’t mind being small. But after I breast fed, they looked different. I looked at them and went, Ewwwwww. They were deflated. I was just a big nipple.”
After, she said, she felt “so much sexier. Way sexier!”
