Chris Brown is tired of talking about Rihanna -- and Rihanna is tired of talking about Chris Brown.

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Rihanna -- baring her backside in barely-there cutoffs on the cover -- opens up once again about her famous ex, who brutally beat her in a notorious February 2009 incident.

Recently, the 22-year-old "Only Girl" singer herself has caught some flack for a decision to relax her restraining order against Brown, 21.

"You can never please people," Rihanna complains, pointing at bloggers who blasted the move.

"That's my decision...it doesn't mean we're getting married tomorrow. It doesn't mean we're gonna be in a relationship, or make up, or even talk ever again. It just means I didn't want to object to the judge," she explains.

The modified order means that the former couple may co-mingle at industry events as long as Brown doesn't annoy, molest or harass her.

"What he did to me was a personal thing," Rihanna says of the attack. "It had nothing to do with his career. Saying [he can't perform at awards show] definitely made it difficult for him."

But, she takes pains to clarify: "We don't have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn't want to make it more difficult for him professionally."

On to breezier subjects, Rihanna plays coy about her love life these days -- poo-pooing rumors about Ryan Phillippe and Colin Farrell.

"I'm not dating. I'm not even sexting. I'm on complete nil," says the star, who split from baseball pro Matt Kemp last year.

The "S&M" star isn't shy about her kinky side, either. "I like to be spanked," she says. "Being tied up is fun. I like to keep it spontaneous. Sometimes whips and chains can be overly planned -- you've got to stop and get the whip from the drawer downstairs."

She's also a big fan of naughty pix. "When you're not with the person you want to be intimate with, a picture is the next best thing," she teases. "A picture lasts a long time. When you're alone, and those horny moments come up, pictures can be very handy."

She adds: "I haven't gotten a d*** picture in a long time. I think people are a little afraid."

ahh leave her alone, she just wants to move on.. She isn't the poster child for abused women, she doesn't owe anyone an explanation. Chris can jump off a cliff, she doesn't seem to care. She sounds like she just wants to enjoy her life. Gorgeous woman.

Ava you sound misguided. They asked her about the Chris Brown situation and she answered, plain & simple. Her tour may be struggling, but she is still a platinum artist and doesn't need to reference Chris Brown in order to get attention. Women like you that support abusive men such as Chris Brown or Charlie Sheen are pathetic.

I think she should talk about what happened. He doesn't deserve a second chance at anything.Just to let you idiots know there is a difference between being kinky in bed and getting the daylight beat out of you by your boyfriend.

Why does Rolling Stone label her a Pop Queen? What the hell? Rihanna is not what she seems. Every chance she gets, she talks about Chris Brown. That isolated incident is the only thing she has to make people stop and take notice. Besides that, she sexually exploit herself, and talk endlessly about her sex life. Or sport that tacky Ronald McDonald red hair, without it no one would be interested. She's only mentioning Chris because he North American tour is failing ... miserably. Chris never gave the impression he wanted to reunite with her. She's no wall flower, so please stop treating her as if she is one. Chris deserves a second chance, just like Charlie Sheen.

Why shouldn't she make it more difficult for him professionally? He is scum, and what he did is unforgivable. He should pay and keep paying because there are people, who because of his profession, look up to him. They think he's a great guy when he is no better than dirt. Any man who beat up a woman (and any woman who beats up a man) is scum. Do not look up to or admire this "man".

its great to be kinky in the bed, but be a LADY out in the streets

Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. I don't think we should ever let him move on. He was on Dancing with the Stars last night, and I turned my set off when he came on. I was a battered wife for many years, and I think if a person can't work on themselves and show positive changes, then, they shouldn't be allowed to redeem themselves. I was all for him regaining a career, until his explosive outburst on the GMA set last week - the guy is out of control! He will never change. He needs to go dig ditches for a living now or something. He's old news, and he is going to hurt someone again, since he can't control his anger. Shame on DWTS for having him on their show last night. I was appalled.

Thank you Rihanna: If she can move on from this, I wish the media will let Chris Brown move on as well.
