Sofia Vergara's Beau Finally "Able to Get Up" After Car Accident

Two months after Sofia Vergara's boyfriend Nick Loeb was hospitalized following a serious car accident, the Modern Family actress told UsMagazine.com her beau is doing "so much better" now that he's recovering from home.

"He's starting to be able to get up and be on crutches, but for two months he wasn't even able to put his feet on the ground," Vergara told Us at Seven Bar Foundation's lingerie event in NYC on Thursday. "Things are finally looking better."

But the actress admits that taking care of the former Florida state Senate candidate hasn't been easy on their relationship.

"It's been a very hard two months -- for him and for me!" Vergara, 38, said. "Because, you know, I've been with him since the beginning."

Still, Loeb, 35, is grateful to have the actress by his side.

"I'm in a lot of pain still and still stuck in bed," he told Access Hollywood last month. "I won't walk for several months. Sofia has been great taking care of me -- I've been very lucky on that front."

But Loeb isn't the only man Vergara is helping these days: her 18-year-old son, Manolo, is seeking her advice on where he should apply to college.

"He wants to be an actor, but he wants to go to film school first," Vergara told Us. "I would love him to go to NYU or the New School...his personality is very New York."
