Alyssa Milano stands behind her decision to post breastfeeding selfies, or "brelfies," as she calls them. During an appearance on The Talk on Wednesday, the Mistresses actress admitted that she was shocked by the backlash to the intimate pic when fellow celebs like Kim Kardashian are lauded as "brave" for posing nude.

"I was [surprised by the backlash] and I got really sad about it," Milano, who shared a close-up of herself feeding newborn daughter Elizabella this past October, told the ladies. "Who are we that now we get upset as human beings if we see a woman feeding her baby? It’s crazy to me. Crazy, crazy, crazy."

Despite getting a lot of hate for the black-and-white snap, Milano said she also got a handful of supporters. "The coolest part, without a doubt, is that I got so much support from the women that do breastfeed," she said, before adding, "Not only is it beautiful, it is also a necessity…I'm feeding my kid.”

After co-host Sharon Osbourne agreed with the actress the act of breastfeeding is not only natural and a necessity, but beautiful, Milano continued to point out,"I just think, 'Where are we that this now becomes offensive?'"

The table then turned to Kim Kardashian's nude Paper magazine cover, to which Milano sniped: "And everyone thought she was so brave, like, okay."
