Candice Crawford was a total knockout at Saturday’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner in Washington, D.C.
Wearing an ivory column Mandalay gown adorned with sequins and a scalloped design, it was very hard to believe that just three weeks ago, the 25-year-old wife to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, 31, gave birth to their first baby — a healthy 8 lbs, 8 oz. little boy named Hawkins.
“It seriously did not look like she had just given birth,” a witness at the dinner tells Us Weekly.
So how did the Texas TV personality and former beauty queen, who is sister to Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford, manage to get her body to bounce back so quickly?
A source tells Us: “Candice is at the gym, eating healthy within parameters of what she can. She is also breastfeeding.”
The high-profile fete was the new parents’ first weekend away from their newborn son. Rolling with a crew that included Chace, Matthew Morrison and his girlfriend, Dustin Lance Black, Joe Mazzello, Bryan Singer, Colton Haynes and manager Eric Podwall, the couple and their friends stayed out till 2 a.m. every night.
“The baby was with Chace’s parents,” the source adds. “Candice would get emotional and was ready to go back at times. They took an earlier flight back to get back to the baby.”
