An Alaskan judge ordered Levi Johnston to pay $18,500 in back child support for his 13-month-old son, Tripp, on Thursday.

Johnston, 19, will also pay $1,688.42 in child support to ex fiancee Bristol Palin, TMZ.com reports.

"Bristol is pleased with the court rulings today and looks forward to resolving the remaining issues with Levi," Palin's lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, told TMZ.

Palin, 19, was present in court while Johnson, who most recently posed semi-nude in Playgirl, was a  no-show.

According to court documents, Palin argued that Johnston earned $105,000 in 2009 -- but only paid her $4,400.

"I have received limited and sporadic financial assistance from Levi," she said in a sworn statement. Johnson's manager, Tank Jones, argued that he had paid more than $10,000.

The couple announced their split last March.

okay lets calm down - #1 if he did make that much in 09 then his son should receive the 20% - its only fair. #2 Levi can always take bristol back to court and show his reduced circumstances, the amount of $1600 was not branded to his flesh or carved in stone #3 comparing posing in playgirl to posing and interviewing in people and us weekly is ridiculous

I agree with you single mommy posted 12:51 it says alot about you to not bad mouth the father around the child. Very good that you don't. I agree with all you said about the child support and paying bills etc.. but in this situation Tripp gets government provided health care so neither parent pays for ANY of the health care costs and she still lives with her mom so she don't have all of those bills, her mom is the babysitter as well. Now IF she would decide to move out and get her own place (tho I heard her mom refuses to let her bnot sure if it true or not) than she WOULD have all those bills you mentioned (aside from healthcare and a sitter if her mom kept babysitting after she moved out) and she would NEED the higher amount of support to assist with those items a child needs. As it stands now she still lives rent free, don't pay any utilities or anything of the sort and she has a full time job (where as the father just gets paid for interviews and playgirl right now) and she gets a LARGE amount of money every month for 1 child. That was excessive in THIS situation.

LOL I bet he regrets getting involved with this ho and her psycho family. I HIGHLY doubt she'll remain abstinent...especially now that she can always sue for child support.

I was married for twenty years. Had one daughter. Ex-husband only had to pay $540/mo in child support -- and he was a professional -- not a teenage father. How in the world did she get so much child support! Maybe I ought to leave Mississipi and go to Alaska

My comment was not a direct response to Mindy, good for her that she does so much on her own. My only response to her post would be that unfortunately some of us don't have ex's who willingly give even chump change, they have to be court ordered to give anything at all. I do not live off of the child support that is for my son, I use it to pay PART of the expenses that come as a result of having him. That money does not begin to cover the total cost. I agree that a woman living off of child support is disgusting, I don't however see anything wrong with expecting a father to do his fair share in paying for his own child. Just because I collect support does not mean I am not independent... Especially when I do almost all the heavy lifting anyway.

Um Mindy she DOES have a full time job.

While I can appreciate where the comments about men being cheated out of money because of a few women out there mis-spending comes from, I would like to say as a single, full time working mother, that not all of us women who collect child support are cheating a man out of money. I pay a large sum every two weeks for my son's childcare, in addition to a monthly premium for health insurance. I also pay to live in a house, just the two of us, because lets face it, not too many people want to live with a toddler if he doesn't belong to them... I used to pay half of this amount when I lived with a roomate. Then lets get to other monthly costs: food, diapers, medicine, insurance co-pays, clothes, shoes... Having a child and paying for the MINIMUMS is not cheap! I have never "gone after" my ex's money. I will never feel badly about asking him to pay for some of the expenses of our sons care, as I did not make our son by myself. I use the child support money (that the state mandates the amount, not me) to care for my son, who by the way, his father can't even be bothered to visit. I still leave pics of the two of them together in my sons room so he can see his Daddy. I still speak well of him in company. Why? Because he is my son's father, and while I personally don't care for him, there is something to be said for my own personal dignity in the matter, as well as my son deciding how he feels for himself once he is old enough to do so. The name bashing is ridiculous and rude, and the money is well spent on the child at hand by many of us out there who are working single moms. Shame on any man who feels that so many of us spend this money on ourselves. I challenge you to take on paying the actual bills after having a baby (not just writing the child support check), and for you to figure out a less expensive way to do so while still meeting their needs.

  • February 26, 2010 - 12:13pm Mindy

Women who live off child support are disgusting!!! Go get a freakin job and support your kids on your own. BE INDEPENDENT!!! Don't rely on a make to give you money even if you have kids with him. I support my 2 children and yes I get money (NOT COURT ORDERED CHILD SUPPORT)from my ex, but I do it all on my own. The money I get from him is chump change!!!

Levi saw the Palin family as his gravy train and now he wants a free ride. Sickening.

  • February 26, 2010 - 12:09pm anon.

Who are any of you to decide how much the baby does or doesn't "need"? $390.00 a week is a lot but it could be saved for his college. Bristol has a full time job and is doing her part. That doesn't mean that Levi gets a free ride. If he made $100K then 20% of that should be going to the kid. He won't be making $100K forever but why should he get out of paying now?
