Mel Gibson Welcomes Baby Girl, Rep Confirms

Mel Gibson has become a father for the eighth time.
His girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to a baby girl Oct. 30, his rep tells Usmagazine.com.
"Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles," his rep tells Us. "No further details are available at this time."
It is the first child for the Braveheart star, 53, and the Russian musician, 39, who met on the set of Gibson's 2008 movie Edge of Reason.
This past April, Gibson and his wife of 28 years, Robyn, announced they were divorcing. They have six sons and one daughter together.
Grigorieva has a 12-year-old son, Alexander, with her former boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.

In August, Grigorieva told CNN that she wasn't sure she and Gibson would wed. "We haven't really talked about it," she said.

At the time, the couple had opted not to learn the sex of the child. "I'm already buying things in gender-neutral colors. It's very cute,"

Grigorieva added, "You don't control the situations or the people you meet. I did not plan this. I'm just doing what I've always been doing. It's not like I've changed my goals at all."
