Melissa McCarthy's children have yet to see her filthy, hilarious, awesome performance in Bridesmaids. At the L.A. premiere of her new film Identity Thief, the actress told reporters that her daughters Vivian, 5, and Georgette, almost 3, are not allowed to watch her outrageous role in the movie, in which she plays the raunchy future sister-in-law to Maya Rudolph's character.
"I don't know that my kids for sure know what I do," the actress, 42, told reporters. "There are one of these posters on the way to school," she explained, pointing to an Identity Thief poster, "and they kind of go, 'Hi, mama.'"
McCarthy's real-life husband, Ben Flacone, played her love interest in the 2011 hit Bridesmaids. But their daughters haven't been able to see mom and dad on the big screen yet.
"I have little tiny kids so they've seen Mike & Molly, but they haven't seen Bridesmaids and they won't see this for a while either," the CBS star said of her new flick.
Indeed, it may be awhile before young girls can see Identity Thief. The R-rated comedy, in theaters Feb. 8, includes some violence inflicted by their mommy!
McCarthy admitted to reporters that she actually punched costar Jason Bateman in the face and drew some blood. "He threw me down on the ground on a highway and laughed at me," she said, "So then I thought I can take him."
