There’s a baby on board for Biggest Loser champ Olivia Ward! The Season 11 winner of NBC's hit weight loss series and her husband, musician Ben Ward, will welcome their first child this summer, Ward tells Us Weekly exclusively.
"My husband Ben and I are so thrilled to be expecting," Ward, who dropped a staggering 129 pounds during her 2011 stint on the series (competing with her sister Hannah Curlee) told Us. "I have been feeling really good. I've been blessed to not have any morning sickness so far.”
Now in her second trimester, Ward, 39, and her husband are counting down the days until their baby boy is in their arms. "Things are completely healthy," the former opera singer confirmed of her pregnancy.
The couple have yet to choose a name for their son, who is due in August, but tell Us they're "working on it."
The road to motherhood has been a difficult one for Ward, who opened up in 2013 about her struggles to conceive as a result of polycystic ovarian syndrome. The hormonal condition, which affects up to 20 percent of women, can make it harder to become pregnant and often causes weight gain.
"To say I feel beyond blessed is an understatement," the mom-to-be, a SoulCycle instructor in New York City, told Us. "We have wanted children for a long time which makes this gift so incredibly special."
