Some serious royal R&R! Prince William whisked his pregnant wife Kate Middleton off on a romantic babymoon on Jan. 22, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who is 7-months pregnant with their second child, jetted off to Mustique, a small private island in the West Indies, for a two-week getaway before their hands become even more full.
“This will be their last big trip before the baby is born in April,” an insider tells Us of their stay at a hilltop five-bedroom Aurora villa, which goes for $26,000 a week.
The couple, who also threw Middleton’s mom Carole Middleton a 60th birthday party at Basil’s Bar on Jan. 31, were waited on by a staff of five during their stay.
The luxurious location was even fit for their 18-month-old son Prince George, who practiced his swimming lessons in the estate’s private children’s pool.
“He loves splashing about,” the insider tells Us. “It's the perfect place for him to play!”
