Sandra Bullock's longtime friend Larry Poindexter says she'll have no problem bouncing back from her split with Jesse James.
"I have no worries about her -- I have known her since she was about 20. I think she's a fantastic person, she hasn't changed that much in those 25 years," the actor, 50, told UsMagazine.com at the MTV premiere of The Hard Times of RJ Berger at Trousdale in West Hollywood Monday.
Pointdexter went on of his pal, 45, who made her first public appearances over the weekend, "I think she's very, very capable of taking care of herself and will have no problem."

He says he was "really happy" to find out she'd adopted 4-month-old Louis Bardo from New Orleans. "I was really glad that she was able to move forward and do something that she really wanted to do."
"It was a little bit of odd timing; inappropriate and sad timing," continued Pointdexter of Bullock, who plans to raise the baby as a single parent. "The main thing is, I am so impressed that she was able to adopt and keep it to herself -- putting the child first."

Bullock returned to the public eye after her devastating marital woes, first appearing at the Spike TV awards on Saturday night, and then at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, where she kissed Scarlett Johansson (both the actresses -- and Johansson's husband, Ryan Reynolds, were up for the best kiss award).

"Ryan is right -- Scarlett is a great kisser," Bullock told UsMagazine.com exclusively.

wtf does it matter what the color of the baby's skin is? babies of all different races need to be adopted! this woman was doing something extraordinary by adopting a child in need! why do you all insist in turning it into a race issue? she didn't and doesn't care what the color of his skin was, so why do you all???? she just wanted to adopt a child in NEED. if I had to go thru the adoption process for four long years, I wouldn't care what race the baby was either! after four years, I'm sure she was yearning for a child, as would I. Everyone has something to say about Sandra adopting a black baby. If they knew how hard or long it took to get a white baby maybe they would think before speaking. If it is the parents desire to help a child rather than have a "matching race" why should it matter. Also, I have heard nothing about Katherine Heigl, Meg Ryan, or Angelina Jolie when they adopted Asian children.

Why adopt a black baby??? I think black babies belong in black families and white babies belong in white families. I can't imagine being black and being raised in a white family or vice versa...as much as we want to believe it will work - it won't!! Blacks identify with each other as well as whites, Hispanics, etc. Sorry - it's just that the child will know he's adopted to begin with but how can he identify with a white family???
