I love Greys Anatomy. You are my favorite. It takes a very special unselfish person to adapt a child. God bless you both.

I was adopted here in the USA but when my husband and I tried to adopt here, nothing but roadblocks and nightmares. There are not many babies available here and even with older children, will match with race, etc. So we ended up with the kid we were meant to have, an older child, and he happens to be Korean born. (remember Katherine's beloved sister is Korean born so perhaps that is why she wanted to honor the country of her sister's birth???) I will assume those critical (Krys and TG) have adopted USA waiting children? Because unless you have walked in Katherine's shoes, why do you presume to criticize?

I really admire people who are loving enough to adopt unfortunate children...even tho they can have their own. It truly shows there is still some kind and caring people in this crazy world.

Nice that they thought enough to help an unfortunate child out but I completely agree with TG and Adopted we have so many babies here in the United States that need a home why go try to save another country's children when we can't even save our own. That goes for feeding other countries children too we have starving children that live on the streets here. This country is never going to get better if we keep avoiding our problems and fixing others'. Now I am all about helping people out and spreading love but we have got to focus on what we can do to help solve our domestic problems. Adopted thats awesome that you were adopted into a good family, you and your brother were very fortunate. I do agree with you I think it should be a requirement to attempt a domestic adoption before allowing a foreign adoption.

everyone has own freedom if what they wanted to be...

Anon, Just because YOU think kids in America are wayyy to privilaged, does that mean that they shouldn't be allowed to be adopted into good homes. I Agree with TG. Take care of your own first. It is her choice to adopt from wherever she wants to adopt, adoption is a great thing, however Anon, I do not agree with your whole overprivilaged reasoning at all. I am a born and raised American, and was adopted at 5 along with my brother who was 6, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, if we weren't adopted, we probably wouldn't be alive. Thank GOD for the people in this world who adopt. But I do feel 100% that the attempt for a domestic adoption should be requirement before allowing a foreign one. The reason they go out of the country is that its a longer and harder process now a days for domestic adoption, so people take the easy road (figuratively (sp?) speaking)and go foreign.

TG she adopted a Korean baby because she has an adopted Korean sister. I think what she did is great!

TG, shut up! kids in america are wayyy to privilaged!

  • December 14, 2009 - 3:58pm TG

Korean baby, there are enough babys in america who need homes too. I think everyone has forgotten that

She and husband Josh Kelley adopted a 10-month-old baby girl from Korea, Naleigh. "She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign," Heigl, 30, told Ellen DeGeneres.
