Amanda Bynes is going to have to find a new place to live in the Big Apple — but for now, she's calling a downtown Manhattan hotel home. The troubled former teen star, 26, moved out of her apartment on Friday (Feb. 1) after the building's management threatened to evict her. According to TMZ, fellow tenants had complained that the What I Like About You star smoked marijuana and cigarettes "morning, noon and night" in her apartment and even in the hallways.

Although it was a non-smoking building, Bynes had refused to cease smoking. In Bynes' wake was an apartment littered with Marlboro Light cigarette butts and dirty Q-tips, one insider told Us Weekly.

Following her hasty Friday move, Bynes' parents have also arrived in Manhattan — taking a hotel room adjacent to their daughter — and are "afraid for her," another source tells Us. It's just the latest complication for Bynes, who made a slew of headlines in 2012: Two hit-and-run cases (settled in December), two charges of driving with a suspended license, plus a DUI charge, in addition to notably bizarre, public antics during her time in NYC.

"I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired," Bynes told Us after one outlandish tabloid story — claiming she paraded nude and disoriented inside a tanning salon — proved to be untrue.
