The black sheep. Amy Duggar isn’t allowed to hang out with her famous cousins unless her uncle and aunt, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, are present. The rule-breaker, 29, explained to a fan via Instagram that if she wants to hang out with her cousins Jana, 26, Jill, 24, Jessa, 23, or Jinger Duggar, 22, she must to go to their house — and that sleepovers or hangouts at Amy’s home are never allowed.

“I have a question for you. Since your cousin's don't watch t.v., do they ever come over to your house and stay for a night?” a fan asked Amy via Instagram after the aspiring country singer shared a photo of herself wearing a Gilmore Girls sweatshirt.

“Hey there! we've had a girls night before and have gone out to eat. It's a rule though that if I want to spend quality time with them I have to come see them. They don't want me to influence them,” Amy replied, “So I respect their standards and I don't fuss about it.”

Jim Bob and Michelle’s niece — who made headlines in January 2015 after she confirmed that she was born out of wedlock — strayed from the fundamentalist Christian family’s strict rules. She drinks alcohol and opted out of so-called “courtship” prior to marrying her husband, Dillon, in September 2015.

“It used to really bother me and then I realized that I just live knowing that God gives us grace,” Amy added on Instagram. “I can only be myself and even though we don't see eye to eye on every little thing we are still family and I do still love them. :).”
