She’s so into him! Ariana Grande and Mac Miller were spotted kissing each other during a romantic dinner date in Encino, California, on Sunday, August 21.
The “Dangerous Woman” singer, 23, and the 24-year-old rapper — who first collaborated on Grande’s debut single, “The Way,” in 2013 and recently teamed up again for an “Into You” remix — took in a meal at Japanese eatery Katsu-Ya.
According to TMZ, Grande, who was dressed casually in a black hoodie with her hair thrown up in a bun, spent much of the evening sitting in her rumored beau’s lap. In between bites, the pair were photographed locking lips.
When Grande and Miller first got together to record “The Way” more than three years ago, the Nickelodeon alum’s legions of Arianators speculated that the duo were more than just friends after they shared a steamy smooch in their song’s accompanying music video. However, during an April 2013 interview with MTV News, the hip-hop star shut down reports that he and Grande were an item.
“That’s the homey. She’s got a boyfriend and everything,” he explained of the Hairspray Live! star, who was dating YouTuber Jai Brooks at the time. “Obviously, that [kiss] made everyone talk. I didn’t even know that was going to happen and then we were shooting and the director was like ‘This should happen’ and I’m like ‘Alright.’”
This past weekend, Grande and Miller took the stage at the Nikon Theater at Jones Beach on Long Island, New York, to perform a particularly flirty set at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival. They danced closely together and gazed into each other’s eyes during their number. Prior to getting cozy with the “I Love College” MC, the pop starlet was involved with rapper Big Sean and, most recently, dated backup dancer Ricky Alvarez.
As Us Weekly previously reported on July 26, Grande called it quits with Alvarez after nearly a year of dating. The two were first linked in July 2015 after surveillance footage from the #Donutgate scandal was released. In the video (in which Grande infamously licked a donut and stated, “I hate Americans, I hate America.”), the former couple were seen packing on the PDA.
