Bachelor Pad 2 Star Michelle Money's Father Passes Away

Michelle Money's father, Scott Edward Cartwright, lost his battle to colon cancer on Sunday. The Bachelor Pad 2 star introduced her dad during the show's premiere, vowing that if she won the show's $250,000 prize, part of the money would go towards funding cancer research.

The reality star, 30, told Us Weekly her father "died knowing how loved he was" and was "surrounded by family."
"He is in a better place," Money said. "I am a better person having spent these last few days surrounded by his love and support for me."

Money thanked her fans "for their prayers and thoughts during this difficult time."
She tweeted Sunday that her father's "suffering [was] done" and he was "at peace."
"But his life was cut far too short," she continued. "I am praying that I can use my dad's strength and reach out and bring awareness to this awful cancer."
