Backstreet's back — with the Spice Girls?! Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell and AJ McLean returned to Los Angeles on Sunday, April 13, for the MTV Movie Awards after spending Saturday, April 12, in Santa Barbara, Calif. for their band member Nick Carter's wedding. Littrell and McLean attended Carter's nuptials to Lauren Kitt with fellow BSBer, Howie Dorough.

The newlywed performer, 34, whom married father Littrell called "the last of the Mohicans," tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony with an altar made of white roses and purple hydrangeas. McLean and Littrell told Us Weekly that the event was "beautiful," adding that it was "very small" and at sunset.

"It was bittersweet," McLean, who, like the rest of BSB, is already married, said of Carter's ceremony. "We're so, so proud of him. He's been through hell and back, as we all have once in our life here and there. And you know, we're all family. We're all brothers and to see our little baby brother finally make that big, big final step… next step's having kids. Obviously they just got married so take your time."

Carter may need his time off before having children if there is any truth to the rumor that the Backstreet Boys will be teaming up with the Spice Girls for a major tour. The Boys themselves even seem in the dark about the tour's likelihood. "I don't know," both Littrell and McLean told Us when asked if it will happen.

"I think it would be fun! Battle of the sexes!" Littrell said about the potential '90s union, going on to sing a riff on Spice and BSB, "If you want to be my — Hey Backstreet’s Back."

"Hopefully!" McLean added. "We’ll have our fingers crossed. We'll see."

The hope of the Backstreet Boys may not be enough as Spice Girls alum Victoria Beckham has been less than enthusiastic about reuniting with her girl band. "I won't ever do it again," Posh said of performing with the Baby, Ginger, Scary, and Sporty. "Doing the Olympics was an incredible honor. I was so proud to do it, proud to be British. That was a perfect time to say, 'That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.' Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."

With or without the Spice Girls, BSB is continuing to tour through the fall, hitting big cities in the U.S. and Canada. The pop stars released their last album, In a World Like This, in 2013.
