They may not have performed at the 2016 Grammys, but they definitely stole the show at the afterparty!
Record of the Year presenter Beyoncé and hubby Jay Z headed to the Absolut Elyx House Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills for the most star-studded afterparty of the night, hosted by winner Mark Ronson on Monday, February 15.
Music’s king and queen hung out with longtime pal Kelly Rowland at the event and later displayed a rare moment of affection when they grooved together in a secluded area of the party. “Bey and Jay were really cute in the corner dancing, just the two of them, to the music,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly.
Earlier in the night, the crowd went wild when the DJ spun Beyoncé’s new anthem “Formation.” “People cheered, and Beyoncé and Jay Z were already up on their feet dancing along … with each other in the back of the room,” the party guest said. “Jay Z was dancing around with a cigar in one hand … genuinely smiling really big and singing along to every word.”
The Carters also chatted with Lady Gaga at the bash, who was clad in a red dress, a short orange wig and Ziggy Stardust makeup from her David Bowie tribute performance. She added a large white boa that she played with throughout the evening.
Meanwhile, Florence Welch was breaking it down on the dance floor. “She was displaying some super high-energy dance moves, bouncing up and down and spinning around on and off the dance floor all night,” the insider added.
Other celeb guests at the bash included Sam Smith, Pamela Anderson, Rashida Jones, Quincy Jones, Bruno Mars and girlfriend Jessica Caban, and Mark Ronson's DJ sister, Sam.
