Kicking off the weekend on Saturday, June 14, the power couple opted for a date night, where they went to see Denzel Washington's broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun.
"It was just the two of them and looked like a nice little date night," a source tells Us Weekly. "They were trying to be incognito, but people were buzzing that they were there," the source adds of Beyonce, who looked stunning in a satin blazer and matching pants, and Jay, who donned a navy jacket and pants.
The following day, on Father's Day, Queen Bey and the "Holy Grail" rapper went with their adorable daughter Blue Ivy, 2, to Kara Walker's "A Subtlety" exhibit at the old Domino Sugar Factory in Brooklyn.
"They're big fans [of Walker]," another source tells Us of the artist who is known for her silhouettes invoking history, race and power. "They were both dressed very casual and Beyonce was carrying Blue around the exhibit," the source adds of the 32-year-old who was wearing a "floral summer dress that matched Blue's."
The source went on to say the couple "seemed very happy" as they took in the artist's latest installment, which is open free to the public.
The 44-year-old rapper was overheard telling others he was "really excited to see the exhibit because growing up, he had always seen the Domino Sugar Factory and he had a lot of memories of it."
Jay Z, who was dressed in all black, also took time to hold his daughter as he talked to her while pointing out pieces, the eyewitness tells Us.
Beyonce took to her Instagram that same day and shared a sweet snap of her husband carrying Blue on his shoulders, with the simple caption: "Happy Happy Father's Day."
