So super sweet! Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mom, wished her son-in-law Jay Z a happy birthday with a touching message via Instagram on Friday, Dec. 4.
“Happy Birthday to my handsome, brilliant, loving son,” she captioned a now-deleted post in honor of the rapper’s 46th birthday. “The son i never had, but I have now. I love you Mama.”
The photo showed the Knowles family matriarch with the lovebirds.
Jay Z posted a small tribute to his parents as well, alongside an adorable throwback photo of himself as a young schoolboy.
“I was conceived by Gloria Carter and Adnes Reeves/ Who made love under the sycamore tree, which make me/ A more sicker M.C. and my momma would claim/ At 10 pounds, when I was born I didn’t give her no pain,” he captioned the shot.
The “Empire State of Mind” rapper was inundated with well wishes from his celebrity friends via social media, including Nicki Minaj, Sean “Puffy” Combs, and even the Brooklyn Nets.
Usually social media-savvy Beyonce, 34, didn’t share any particular birthday shoutout to her husband of seven years (the pair tied the knot in April 2008, and have one daughter together, Blue Ivy, 3).
The pair dressed up as Prince Akeem and Queen Aoleon from Eddie Murphy’s 1988 classic comedy Coming to America for Halloween this year, but have been keeping a relatively low profile since. The couple attended the celeb-studded Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez fight in Las Vegas last month.
