She’s gonna need a bigger cheering section! Caitlyn Jenner is set to take the stage to accept the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYS in July, and when she does, her son Brody Jenner hopes to be front and center to lead the applause.
“I would love to be there to support my father. It’d be a great thing,” the 31-year-old Sex With Brody star told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, June 30. “I’ll be there to support Caitlyn 100 percent. It’s a huge deal.”
Ideally, of course, Caitlyn would be accompanied by the whole Jenner-Kardashian brood, which includes 10 kids and stepkids. But as Brody noted to ET, “There’s a lot of moving parts…We have a big family.”
“It’s been incredible. I’m not going to sit here and say it’s been the easiest thing in the world, but it helped me in a lot of ways,” he told ET. “It helped the family in a lot of ways just to be incredibly open.”
He noted, too, that it’s been great for Caitlyn to finally feel comfortable in her own skin. “I think everybody should go through life — because it is very short — being the person that they truly are and who they want to be,” he shared.
Brody also opened up to Us Weekly about the other Caitlyn/Kaitlynn in his life — his girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter. “She’s amazing, and we both work really hard,” the DJ gushed of his model GF at Tuesdays SpyChatter app launch in Hollywood. “We’re both traveling, our schedules are pretty tough, but other than that, everything is great.”
Brody added that Carter is very supportive of all his endeavors, including his new sex-themed show. Asked whether she’d given him a list of things not to talk about, he replied, “Absolutely not…We support each other, and we allow each other to be artistic and be free,” he told Us. “As long as we come home to each other and we love each other, that’s the most important thing.”
