Not impressed! After covering the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1982, supermodel Carol Alt was happy to discuss her thoughts on the current cover girls with The Huffington Post on Feb. 25.

"What I don't understand with Kate [Upton] is what's all the hullaballoo," Alt, 53, said of the 21-year-old beauty. "There are many covers of Sports Illustrated -- one girl was just wearing a bottom, no top. I don't get what all the hullabaloo is. I think what it is is that in this moment there's just so much social media and that's why she's had more word of mouth than anybody."

And though she may not get the mass appeal, Alt thinks that Upton is just as deserving of her success as the rest of the cover girls.

"I like Kate, she's a pretty girl," she continued. "But all the girls are nice, and all the girls are pretty. Every cover, to me, deserves to be talked about."

Known for her stunning curves, Upton appeared in the 2011 swimsuit issue and on the 2012 and 2013 covers. Her photo was also featured on the inside flap of the 2014 issue which pictures cover girls Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge, and Chrissy Teigen posing topless.
