The people who are taking crap about Carrie are jealous or something. The girl can sing and she's not snobby or rude at all. I know several people that met her and says she's the sweetest, down to earth girl. She was not interrupting Brad. She hugged Taylor!!!! Did you miss that????? Carrie would never disgrace any of her fellow country singers. I like Taylor but I think she's getting too much attention. She's good but not that good. I believe Carrie and Taylor are friends and is really happy for all her success.
I just don't understand why Carrie's fans pardon her when she makes catty comments or is rude like she was here. She's got a great voice but everyone I talk to in the Nashville music industry says the same thing- she's a b*tch (and some says she's dumb). Yes, it's all hearsay but the stories are all consistent. It's such a shame. I've always thought her fiance was a great guy but maybe he's really just like her. Why on earth would he be marrying her?
I agree completely with Suzanne!!! Sure, Carrie is talented. But so is Taylor. And sure, Taylor is not a true vocalist. She is more of a stylist who caters songs to her own comfort level and ability. Talent comes in all shapes and packages. I love that Taylor got up there and PROVED that one doesn't have to sound like a screaming banshee to prove her ability to sell records AND win awards. As for the awards show, when Brad Paisley praised Taylor, Carrie should've been gracious and simply stated "Congratulations, Taylor! Great job. And thank you everyone for joining us. Good night!" Period. Carrie Underwood is nothing but a Martina McBride wannabe and a boney-legged diva who thinks she is hot shit! She needs to get over herself big time, just like Mariah Carey had to do when Alanis Morrisette was kicking her ass at the Grammy awards! Face it, the night was Taylor Made. Eat your heart out, Queen Carrie!!!!!!!
Also, "Carrie Fan", a message to you: You wrote that Carrie wasn't upset over Taylor's CMA wins because she just released an album (Play On) and knew that it wasn't award time and that the awards were for the previous year???? Oh, so then what about Carrie's previous album, wasn't that included in the 09 CMAs, hmmmm???? Guess her Carnival Ride didn't win at the CMAs like Taylor's, hm??? NOTHING she did won like Taylor's. And if Carrie can really blow Taylor out of the water, why wasn't she the one standing onstage at the end of the evening for Entertainer Of The Year?
Carrie Underwood is a diva who thinks that she is the only one who deserves to be celebrated. She was GREEN WITH ENVY that someone with less of a voice would dare to outbeat HER!! She isn't even that great of a singer. She sounds nasally in some of her songs and whines and shouts through them as though she has something to prove to Martina McBride (whose voice is stellar and polished and controlled). When Brad Paisley was praising Taylor she should've/could've gracefully commented, "Yes, congratulations, Taylor! You were outstanding. Thank you for joining us...etc., etc. Furthermore, she has NO sex appeal like a Shania Twain. I hate Carrie.
