Charlie Sheen's third ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, broke her silence about his HIV-positive status via a statement from her rep on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The latest development comes just hours after the Two and a Half Men alum, 50, announced on the Today show that he was diagnosed with the virus four years ago.

"Brooke has been inundated with calls from friends and family," Mueller's rep, Steve Honig, told Us in a statement. "To put their minds at ease, Brooke can confirm that she and the boys are not HIV-positive."

Sheen and Mueller, 38, were married from 2008 to 2011 and welcomed twin sons Bob and Max, now 6, in March 2009. Mueller and Sheen's tumultuous relationship included a Christmas Day blowup in 2009 and rehab stints for both stars. Mueller checked herself into a treatment facility in February 2010, and Sheen went to rehab in 2010 and 2011.

As previously reported, Sheen's second ex-wife, Denise Richards, and their two daughters — Sam, 11, and Lola, 10 — have also tested negative for the virus. Sheen "got infected after they were together, four years ago or so," an insider told Us Weekly on Monday.

Sheen, meanwhile, confirmed Tuesday that he told Richards, 44, and Mueller about his diagnosis in 2011. He most recently told his daughter Cassandra, 30, whom he had with ex-girlfriend Paula Profit.

"It hit her hard but she recovered," Sheen told Lauer of Cassandra. "She's tough like her dad. She was a rock star about it."
