The music legend, 70, attempted to show her support for the victims on Twitter on Tuesday, June 28, writing, “WE ALL PRAY FOR INNOCENT PPL IN TURKEY AIRPORT.” She added a bomb emoji and an explosion emoji.

Cher immediately received backlash from followers who believed her placement of the emojis in a tweet about the tragedy was inappropriate. “Seriously? The emojis are just bad taste,” one user wrote. Another tweeted, “A bit insensitive using these emojis."
